Red Hot Chili Peppers Stop by WFNX

The band stopped by supporting the ‘Mother’s Milk’ tour with new members Chad Smith and John Frusciante. The band was hungry, so we all went to the Capitol Diner across the street to grab a bite. My most vivid memory is the fact that Chad ordered scallops. I thought to myself, how strange, what a crazy thing to order at a diner. It looked good, and he devoured it. I actually ordered it the next day, and Chad was right, delicious!

I also remember Anthony Kiedis being so polite, calling the waitress ma'am and thanking her repeatedly for the coffee refills. I shot some pictures while the band ate, and we all chatted. What I didn’t get on film was when they left the diner jumping on parked cars, screaming, and carrying on like rock stars in Lynn. In this photo the band is playing with my 5 year old nephew Ian, who was a big fan of the band.
